Who is him ?
Professor Alain Cribier, MD, has been for 20 years the Chief of Cardiology at Hospital Charles Nicolle, University of Rouen. He is since 2011 Professor Emeritus and consultant/trainer of the Rouen Medical Training Center. In the course of his career, he became widely recognized for having developed breakthrough technologies for the treatment of calcific Aortic Stenosis: Balloon Aortic Valvuloplasty in 1985 and Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation (TAVI) in April 2002. TAVI has open a revolutionary less invasive way of treating aortic stenosis, with a considerable expansion of indications worldwide. Professor Cribier has received many prestigious scientific awards for these innovations.
