Professional experience
Hélène Eltchaninoff, Head of the Department of Cardiology at the University Hospital of Rouen, has conducted her research in the field of percutaneous treatment of valvular heart disease, flagship theme of the department. She implanted with Alain Cribier the first worldwide percutaneous aortic valve in April 2002.
She coordinates since one year the University Hospital Federation (FHU) REMOD-VHF that brings together partners from 4 University Hospitals (Rouen, Amiens, Caen and Lille), 3 INSERM Units, 1 CNRS center and 1 University Host Team around endothelium, valvular heart disease and heart failure thematics.
The FHU labeling allowed her to respond to the National call of projects “University Hospital Research” (RHU) launched by the National Research Agency (ANR) as part of a highly competitive great future investment program. A very ambitious project, named STOP-AS (Search Improve Treatment and Outcome of Patients with Aortic Stenosis), focused on aortic stenosis was submitted in February 2016.
